~ ABOUT ME ~
Hi my name is Claire & I have three canine companions that are my inspiration & help me in my work;
Millie the spaniel is a regular on dog walks and socialisation visits - she is my resident expert in canine communication and chief treat taster!
Otis my Labrador Cross, helps me hone my coaching and observational skills.
Gretel my adolescent Doberman Pinscher is currently enjoying her IPO* dog sport/protection training and is my personal fitness instructor.
I have many years dog handling, care & behaviour experience and I am a proud member of both the The Guild of Dog Trainers & Canine & Feline Behaviour Association .
I also hold the CIDBT National Dog Training Instructor Certificate. I have studied with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training, and the course options which I have selected focus on rescue dogs and aggression.
I have always enjoyed going on canine courses in my free time and have participated in a variety of different ones over the years, such as;
- clicker training
- dealing with reactivity
- balance work
- introduction to T Touch
- scentwork....and more
For my personal development I attend a variety of practical workshops and CPD sessions throughout the year.
I like to attend local horse and dog shows & have judged a few fun classes in the last couple of years too. I have a small trade stand which I take to a couple of events per season.
I'm so fortunate to have lovely friends and contacts within the 'doggy-world' so if you need a recommendation for a groomer, pet sitter, gundog trainer, T-Touch or Zoopharmacognosy practitioner, please ask.
